I successfully completed the first goal I set for myself as an online creator: upload 100 videos to YouTube in 100 days.
This was a process of discovering my voice and determining how I would proceed. I began by thinking about YouTube as a platform on which I could build a business. But, I learned so much about what it means to be a creator and an influencer through this process.
I have decided to focus my content on Inspiring People to Pursue Their Creative Passions. Over the next couple weeks I will be devoting most of my time to branding my YouTube channel, this website, and a podcast toward this focus of inspiring creators. I want my audience to know exactly what they will be getting when they visit each of these different platforms, as well as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
This will all take a significant amount of work, which means I will be a little quieter online for a bit. I realize this may slow down some momentum, but I am confident this is the right thing to do at this stage of developing a personal brand.
If you want to hear more about this, I just finished doing a live stream on my YouTube channel, in which I talked a bit about my plans. You can watch a replay of the stream here (which was a bit of a disaster… you’ve been warned!).
I appreciate the love and support I’ve received from so many of my viewers, even though my audience is relatively small at this point. I’m beyond excited to enter into this next stage, and that I have a great group of supporters I can journey together with.
