In the spring of 2024, I completed the requirements for a Master of Arts in Leadership, Theology, and Society at Regent College in Vancouver, BC. The requirements included a final project of the student’s choice. I chose to write a book proposal based on the concept of kenotic ecclesiology or, simply put, communal humility, which has its biblical foundation in Philippians 2:1-11.

After completing the project, I received affirmation that the book proposal has relevance for the church today and I have decided to continue writing the book. As of March, 2025, I have temporarily paused development of Humble Church as I work on a shorter prequel book which will introduce the topic of “humble power.”
