Thank you for inviting me to be part of your wedding day. The form below is a required first step in my involvement. Following the completion of the form, I will contact you to arrange a time to meet. First, a bit about me before you proceed. The following paragraph may eliminate me as an option for your officiant. While I am quite flexible on most things, I hold to two primary limitations which I describe here:
I am a Christian minister registered with the Alberta Government to perform marriages by means of my ordination in the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada. In alignment with our church’s Articles of Faith and Credentialing Policies, I am willing to perform marriage ceremonies only between a biological male and biological female. Couples are not required to be Christian believers, attend my church, or participate in pre-marital counselling. Although I am willing to perform secular (non-religious) weddings, it is my preference to acknowledge, in some way during the ceremony, the institution of marriage as ordained by God, described in the Christian Bible. I am unwilling to officiate weddings that incorporate religious practices contrary to the Christian faith. This can be a topic for discussion when we meet if needed.
